A Silent Encounter with a Great Sage
This morning’s class was unusually full for this quiet season. Eight people joined, four of whom were attending for the first time. After two hours of stretching and energy work, I closed the session, as I always do, with fifteen minutes of healing.
In these healing sessions, I connect with higher realms and invite beings who have devoted their existence to serving humanity. Their presence always brings balance, clarity, and quiet transformation to those lying before me.
Before we began, everyone spread their mats, lay down, and closed their eyes. Standing in the center of the group, I called upon the higher beings and asked them to be present in the space we had entered into silence together.
In the direction I was facing, a vast cluster of radiant light appeared. I could see many of the beings clearly, yet it wasn’t easy to gaze at them for long. Their eyes shone with a soft, growing brilliance that dazzled me. I welcomed them into the circle and said aloud to the attenders, “Everyone, please focus on your own need or health condition that requires healing.”
As they approached, it became clear they were gentle, smiling, angelic forms. Some appeared as children, around 12 or 13 years old, bright and joyful. Others were taller and more reserved. Though they varied in form, all stood upright; there were no animal-like shapes among them.
One figure caught my attention. He looked entirely human, with long arms and legs and dark skin. His features were more serious than the others, his presence firm and dignified. He wore only a loose undergarment, resembling an Indian ascetic. He turned toward one of the two participants on my right. I didn’t focus on that further, needing to remain aware of everyone else in the room.
After fifteen minutes, I gently brought the group back. I asked them to return to their bodies and, when ready, open their eyes. Then I invited them to share what they had felt, seen, or heard. Each experience was different: some spoke of magnificent colors, others of intricate, fractal-like shapes of light, or of vague figures.
Then one regular participant who had clairaudient and clairvoyant abilities suddenly asked, “Who is Patanjali?” and added, “A man said his name was Patanjali and repeated it twice so I would hear.”
Just as I was about to answer, one of the new participants said, “He is my teacher—my master. I teach his Sutras in India.” We were all astonished. The Indian man pointed to his arm, showing the goosebumps that had risen there. “Unearthly perfumes were being scattered into the air as you were directing energies to us. It was a very pleasant feeling,’ he added with amazement.
Who knows why Patanjali appeared that morning, but it was clear for whom he had come.
Patanjali is a highly respected Hindu mystic and philosopher. He is the author of several significant Sanskrit texts, including the Mahabhashya and a treatise on Ayurveda, and is best known as the compiler of the famous Yoga Sutras. Although little is known about his life, his works indicate that he lived sometime between the 2nd and 4th centuries CE.
The person who heard Patanjali introduce himself explained with a drawing that the beings in our space were protected by two energy belts, one below and one above. At one moment, a wide, funnel-shaped golden light emerged, accompanied by several clusters of different colored clouds, causing all beings to become silent. These cloud clusters were breathable and pleasant to breathe.
This unexpected visit by the great sage left us all quietly amazed. The participants eagerly asked if I would teach again the next day. I explained that I rested on weekends, and our next session would be three days later, on the following Monday. We said our goodbyes and left silently until we meet again next week.
I spent the rest of the day with the vision of Patanjali, the great sage who lived nearly 1,800 years ago. We drove downtown and shared a silent lunch together. We never uttered a word, and I quietly rested in his presence for the rest of the day.
It was a day unlike any other.
